The "WBZ" cylinder rod locks are mechanical devices to be fitted to ISO 15552 cylinders (X and XT series). They allow the piston rod to be locked in any position. This solution allows the cylinder stroke to be stopped whenever the pneumatic pressure drops. The locking force is, in all cases, greater than the force generated by the cylinder supplied at 10 bar. The device can be supplied with lubricated or unlubricated air. It is necessary to stop the stroke of the cylinder before proceeding with the mechanical locking. The mechanical rod lock WBZ should not be considered as a safety device.
- Working temperature: 0° C ÷ +80° C (-5° C with dry air)
- Working pressure: 3 ÷ 6 bar, for a cylinder supply pressure between 1 and 10 bar.
- Status in case of lack of pressure: locked, unlocked by pneumatic control.
- Type of locking: mechanical - exclusively axial (bi-directional)
